About Unturning Steel
What is Unturning Steel (UTS)?
Unturning Steel is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps active-duty service members and veterans successfully transition into civilian life by building purpose-driven careers in U.S. manufacturing. Through hands-on training, mentorship, and job placement, UTS reduces veteran suicide and bridges critical gaps in the American workforce.
Why is it called “Unturning Steel”?
The name represents our mission to reshape lives while restoring strength to American industry. Just like steel, veterans are forged through challenge. UTS supports them through the next phase of transformation—turning their grit and discipline into purpose and opportunity.
